Resolved: This Year I Will… Lose Weight

It’s the time of year for New Years resolutions to be broken. That’s right, the majority of all New Year’s resolutions are broken within the first week of the New Year. It seems the major problem with these resolutions is maintaining the motivation to follow through on our most excellent ideals.

It seems we often laugh at ourselves when we fail to follow through on these commitments to ourselves, and that made me start to wonder what can be done to help myself, and others, to follow through on our New Year’s resolutions. So I thought I might take a few weeks to look at some of the more common New Year’s resolutions and propose a hypnotic solution to keeping them.

Losing weight is one of the most common New Year’s resolutions. From 5 to 150 pounds or more, this is the time of year most people start to look at their eating and exercise habits, and make plans to live a more healthy lifestyle. Hypnosis can help by reprogramming the subconscious mind to truly desire healthy and nutritious foods, to crave the extra energy that comes from exercising regularly, and discovering and resolving the subconscious barriers to getting rid of this weight permanently.

Hypnotherapy Associates of Grand Rapids offers both individual and group weight management programs designed to help participants set realistic and attainable goals, and maintain a positive and energetic motivation to reach those goals. Call Linda at 616-550-3231 for more information on how hypnotherapy can help you keep your New Year’s resolution to get rid of that excess weight.
